ASA-IM Japan participated as a booth exhibitor at Soybean Pavilion in International Food Ingredients & Additive Exhibition and Conference/Health Food Exposition and Conference 2007 held in Tokyo from May 30 to June 1.  It is the largest food ingredients and additives event in Japan. Over 30,000 food manufacturers, suppliers and distributors from 18 countries attended the exhibition.  Mr. Tom Nishio, Japan Country Director gave a presentation on Soybean Demand & Supply Situation from Global Point of View, and Ms. Masi Tateishi, IM-Japan Marketing Manager, talked about “Overseas Soy Foods Market” at the Soybean Pavilion exhibitor presentation session.  Concerns over soybean supply, especially food soybean supply are growing in Japan with the increased soybean demand for biodiesel in the world.  The timely topics attracted the interests of the audience; all the seats at the presentation area were filled with the soybean and related industry people.
